Purple Makeup look

I enjoyed playing around with colours over the weekend. I love to experiment with colours and finding great shade combinations. A great tip is to find the right shade of eyeshadow/eyeliner for your eye colour! Purple really brings out shades of green in the eyes, I have hazel eyes so I used purple eyeliner to draw out the green tones. Purple is a gorgeous colour to pair with a brown or neutral lip, I went for a Matte brown.

Also this season I’m moving further away from the “Instagram” brow, the sharp edged perfect brow and more towards a natural bushy brow.

I went for natural lashes but this look can easily be made into a night time look by just adding a pair of fake lashes or an eyeliner flick.

For the base: MAC face and body foundation, using MAC compact fixing powder to fix in place. I always use the Mac face and body foundation because it has light coverage so it’s not too thick and can easily be worn all day and night. Also the face and body foundation can be easily built up to create a full coverage look if that’s what you want, and with the fixing powder it becomes water proof! So it’s perfect for long wear.

Eyes: The plum Morphe Palette eye shadows, white on the inner eye and fading shades of purple from the centre. Mac Eyeliner in shade “Feline” for the outer water line. Mac eyebrow pencil in shade “stud” and Kiko eyebrow wax pencil to  hold the brows in place, the Kiko wax pencil is also good to use without a colour pencil just to enhance and hold in place your natural brow.

Highlight and contour: The Anastasia Beverly Hills glow kit for the eyebrow bone and above the cheek bones, and Mac bronser for contouring the cheeks, forehead and jaw.

Lips: NYX lip suede.
